Heather with her best bud, Charlie.

Heather Parsons’ 20 years of experience in the pet care industry began as a volunteer at the local humane society. This started her life long passion for pet nutrition when she saw first hand both the devastating impact of a lack of nutrition, and the dramatic recovery when pets are fed properly. Her years in veterinary clinics gave her an added deep respect for the role of nutrition in the prevention and treatment of disease, and the importance of an expert diet prescription from the veterinary team. A passionate pet owner, she has participated in many sports with her dogs, and has seen first hand how ensuring they had optimal nutrition allowed them to perform at their peak potential. Heather has spent the last 10 years dedicated to pet nutrition. She was thrilled to join Rayne and be part of bringing a more natural approach to veterinary nutrition.

HEATHER LOWE | Mentor & Advisor

With over 30 years in the pet care business, including 20 years dedicated to veterinary nutrition, Heather has a deep understanding of the role of the veterinary team in the health of dogs and cats.  She is a passionate pet owner who firmly believes that nutrition has been an important aspect of her own pets’ overall health, longevity, and quality of life. Her time spent in the pet nutrition field has helped her understand what a dynamic and evolving area it is, and she felt a growing intrigue with pet owner and veterinarian interest in diets designed to prevent or manage disease conditions that were more natural, whole food based.  She sees the Rayne diets as more in tune with what pet owners are looking for, and something completely unique that veterinarians have not been able to offer their clients before. Heather returned to the veterinary nutrition world to seize the opportunity to serve pets, pet owners, and the veterinary community. She set out to build a team of philosophically aligned people to bring Rayne Clinical Nutrition to veterinary clinics in Canada.

Rayne Team Sandie (3 of 1).jpg

With over 18 years’ experience working with animals of all sorts (yes, including wildlife!) as well as managing my own business, I am thrilled to be part of the Rayne team.

My veterinary technician career started in 1999 and I developed my craft at various vet clinics. In 2002, I was privileged to further my career by doing an internship at the Toronto zoo working with all kinds of animals. I have also completed courses in canine behaviour, animal nutrition, and pet grooming.

In 2014, I engaged in a major life change and adopted my son.  As a single Mom, this beautiful and challenging experience has led me to reflect deeply regarding my life and what I want from it.  My priorities have changed to meet the needs of my son, so I have turned the page on owning my own business and have found a new career where I am able to apply everything I have learned and utilize those skills.

I take pride in doing an excellent job that will exceed your expectations. As the only French speaking member (for now…we are growing, or haven’t you heard) I am very proud to represent ‘French Canada’
